FAQ

Q My photo won’t upload!

A Firstly check your internet connection and whether you are able to browse online. If everything seems to be working then you should be able to upload to dubble. If you still have problems contact and make sure to include your device model and if possible any error messages you might see.

Q My photo takes flippin’ ages to upload

A There could be many reasons for this. Your internet connection firstly and secondly the image size. We send up quite a large file to our servers so in the future if you want to see it in all it’s glory, on a retina display or even print it, you can have a great quality image to view.

Q It seems to take ages for my dubble to arrive

A This could also be down to your internet connection. Also once you upload a single it can sometimes take time for it to find a random match on our server.

Q I want to remove a photo

All you have to do is flip the photo (by swiping horizontally from right to left over the image) and press the delete icon.

If i delete a single or dubble will it be removed from your server?

No, it will simply be removed from your stream.

Q If i delete a dubble will the other user also lose the dubble?

A No they won’t, it will just be removed from your stream.

Q Once i receive a dubble who owns the picture?

A Both users own the rights for their dubble. For more information on this go to dubble.me/terms

Q My dubbles aren’t that good. What can i do?

A Firstly don’t give up! It happens that someone uploads a masterpiece and it gets dubbled with a ketchup stain on a table. You can redubble your single (by swiping horizontally from right to left over the image and clicking on the redubble icon) and then delete the dubble you don’t like. If you need tips on how to improve your photos please check our blog life.dubble.me or go to our homepage dubble.me for some tips!

Q Can i chose who to dubble with or a photo to dubble with?

A Currently no but we will be adding many features soon so stay tuned!

Q How can I add filters or effects?

A There are many options here. You can upload images from your camera roll so if you want filters you can add them first in one of many photo applications that provide filters. For more tips please check our blog life.dubble.me or go to our homepage dubble.me.

Q I want to dubble with my own photos, is this possible?

A Currently no but we will be adding many features in the coming months and this will be a possibility soon.

Q My photo dubbled with an inappropriate image. What can i do?

A Please report this ASAP directly from dubble by swiping horizontally from right to left over the image and clicking on the report icon.

Q How can I change my Username?

A Soon you will be able to do this directly from the app. For now please .

Q How can I delete my Account?

A We obviously don’t want to see you leave but if you really have to go we’ll understand. Please go to the menu (top-right button) in the app and select settings. If you could let us know why you’re leaving by emailing we would really apreciate it.

Q How can I stop people dubbling with my photos?

A All you have to do is go to their profile and click on their avatar. From there click on block user. They will not be able to dubble with you and vice versa. If you believe the user is posting inappropriate images or comments please also report the user via the same process.

Q Can I upload the same photo more than once?

A You can but we would rather you didn’t. If you upload the same picture more than once it increases the chance of other users dubbling with the same photo. Instead could you use the redubble feature by swiping horizontally from right to left over the single image and clicking on the redubble icon.

Q I’ve forgotten my password. What should I do?

top tips to dubble

dubble is magic; the main recipe being photos. Lots of photos, of anything, from anywhere and taken at any time! Embrace the surprise; the fun here is trial and error and the excitement of what might happen.

We’re not going to lie to you; not all dubbles work. So here are some top tips for better dubbles!

shoot lots – the more you shoot the more your dubble stream will come to life! random dubbles will be arriving all day and night as other users upload and dubble with you.

don’t be scared – never think that you’re not good enough to dubble. Anyone who can point a smartphone camera at something and tap a button is welcome.

framing variation – play with the framing, to the left or right, up or down and even rotate. this way the two main subjects (if there are any!) can be kept apart.

be realistic – a bad shot won’t always make a good dubble, at the same time however it sometimes can, so we are not going to make any examples. you’re the judge.

experiment and diversify – put your finger over the flash to create a red layer, cover half the lens, add filters, use fun lenses and don’t worry. anyone can do this.

less is more and more is more – a single object in a simple environment can make a great dubble as can a busy photo with texture and patterns. try them both!

never give up – quitting is for losers.
